2. Legal framework

This policy is adopted under Article 15 of the Colombian Constitution, Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015) and any rules that amend or supplement them.

3. Data we collect

Through this site’s contact form, email and WhatsApp we collect: name, company, city and country, email, phone number, and any technical information and files the data subject chooses to share about their request. We do not request sensitive data or data from minors.

4. Purposes

• Handling requests for quotes, technical advice, information and contact.
• Preparing and sending technical and commercial proposals.
• Following up on requests and managing the business relationship.
• Sending commercial and technical information about our products, where the data subject has authorised it.
• Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.

5. Consent

By ticking the consent box on the form, or by writing to us by email or WhatsApp, the data subject gives prior, express and informed consent to the processing of their data for the purposes above. PROADSTEEL keeps proof of that consent.

6. Data subject rights

• To know, update and correct their personal data.
• To request proof of the consent given.
• To be informed, on request, of how their data has been used.
• To file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
• To revoke consent and request deletion of their data where there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it.
• To access their personal data free of charge.

7. Requests and complaints

Requests and complaints can be sent to ventas@proadsteel.com, stating name, ID, a description of the request and contact details. Queries will be answered within ten (10) business days and complaints within fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt, extendable under Article 15 of Law 1581 of 2012.

8. Security

PROADSTEEL takes reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised or fraudulent access, use or consultation.

9. Processors and transfers

Data may be stored with third-party services acting as processors (for example, the site’s hosting and email provider, and WhatsApp when the data subject chooses that channel), under confidentiality and security conditions. Some of these providers may be located outside Colombia.

11. Validity

This policy applies from the update date shown above. Data will be kept for as long as needed for the purposes described or while a legal duty to keep it exists. Any material change will be published on this page. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
